Institutional laundering
Household blankets are typically laundered a small number of times per season. Hospitality and institutional blankets may be laundered every few days. The two applications carry materially different fabric requirements.
The performance criteria across repeated laundering are pile retention, dimensional recovery and colour depth. These are determined by finishing decisions taken during production and cannot be corrected subsequently.

General guidance for polar fleece. Care instructions are confirmed per order according to the construction and finish supplied.
| Step | Recommendation |

| Washing | Machine wash cold to warm on a gentle cycle. Avoid overloading the drum. |
| Detergent | Mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener — softener coats the pile and reduces loft. |
| Drying | Tumble dry low or line dry. High heat is the most common cause of pile damage. |
| Ironing | Not recommended. Direct heat flattens the brushed surface permanently. |
| Storage | Store dry and loosely folded. Prolonged compression sets creases into the pile. |
Finished blanket weight and usable dimensions can vary according to finished size, construction, processing, finishing and agreed production tolerances.
